Comes in 4 different sizes for use in different teeth and different canals.

Cytec, made of HT fiberglass, consists of a cylindrical and a conical apical part. In the apical area, spiral retention lines optimize adhesion to the composite and provide protection against twisting.

The advantages of Cytec are:

HT glass fibre 1,678 MPa (according to EN ISO 178) optimises the stability of the root structure.

Homogeneity of the root structure

The fibre composite materials have an elastic behaviour that is more similar to that of dentin than, for example, that of titanium or zirconium. The root post, composite and remaining tooth thus form a more homogeneous unit that supports the stability of the structure.

Secure adhesion due to micro-retentive surface

Due to the fiber-structured, micro-retentive surface, no silanization is necessary, proven by scientific tests.

Scientifically tested and proven in practice since 1995

In 1995, HAHNENKRATT was the first company in Germany to produce root posts made of fibre composite materials.

Results from scientific work as well as practice-oriented long-term experience for over 25 years – such as at the ZZMK Carolinum in Frankfurt – show superior advantages of our pen systems, such as the micro-retentive pen surface.

Studies at three different German universities have shown that the unique surface structure leads to optimized adhesion between the pin and the adhesive fastening material – without the use of a silane or primer.

Cytec has now been supplemented with diameters of 1.0 mm + 1.6 mm.

Test results with regard to bending strength at the IVW Kaiserslautern (Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe GmbH*) resulted in average values of 1770 MPa (Cytec 1.0 mm). This value is only achieved by competitors with a diameter of 1.5 mm.
